're Next is a 2013 American slasher film directed by Adam Wingard and written by Simon Barrett. The film stars Sharni Vinson, Nicholas Tucci, Wendy Glenn, AJ Bowen, Joe Swanberg, and Barbara Crampton as a family under attack by a group of masked assailants during their wedding anniversary getaway. The film premiered at the 2011 Toronto International Film Festival and was released theatrically on August 23, 2013. It received positive reviews from critics and grossed $26.9 million worldwide against a $1 million budget.

The film begins with a couple, Erik and Talia, having sex in a secluded house in the woods. They are unaware that they are being watched by someone wearing a lamb mask. After they finish, Talia goes to take a shower while Erik puts on a CD. He hears a loud thud and goes to investigate, finding "You're Next" written in blood on the sliding glass door. He is then killed by the lamb-masked intruder with a machete. Talia returns and sees Erik's body, but before she can react, she is killed by another intruder wearing a tiger mask.

The next day, Crispian Davison and his girlfriend Erin arrive at the house, which belongs to Crispian's parents, Paul and Aubrey. They are joined by Crispian's siblings: Drake and his wife Kelly, Aimee and her boyfriend Tariq, and Felix and his girlfriend Zee. Paul and Aubrey are celebrating their 35th wedding anniversary and have invited their children and their partners for a family reunion. During dinner, Tariq notices someone outside wearing an animal mask. He goes to the window to get a closer look, but is shot in the head by a crossbow bolt. The family panics and Drake is wounded in the back by another bolt. Paul instructs everyone to stay away from the windows and calls 911, but the line is cut.

Erin, who grew up on a survivalist compound in Australia, takes charge of the situation and tells everyone to barricade the doors and windows with furniture and weapons. She also sets up traps around the house to deter the attackers. Kelly decides to run to the neighboring house for help, but finds Erik and Talia's corpses and is chased by the lamb-masked killer. She makes it back to the house, but is killed by an axe through the door by the tiger-masked killer.

Aimee tries to escape through a window, but triggers a wire trap that slits her throat. Zee and Felix go to the basement to look for more weapons, but find none. They encounter the fox-masked killer, but instead of attacking him, they reveal that they are in cahoots with him and the other two killers. They have hired them to kill their family so they can inherit their fortune. They also admit that they poisoned the dinner wine with Rohypnol to make their family more vulnerable.

Meanwhile, Erin manages to kill the lamb-masked killer with a blender and a knife. She also injures the tiger-masked killer with a nail board trap and stabs him in the eye with a screwdriver. She then discovers Kelly's body and realizes that there is another killer outside. She runs back inside and warns Crispian, who has been hiding in his bedroom.

Crispian goes outside to negotiate with the killers, but is shocked to see Felix and Zee with them. They reveal their plan to him and offer him a share of the inheritance if he helps them finish off Erin. Crispian agrees, but is stabbed in the neck by Zee, who says she doesn't want to split the money with him.

Erin overhears their conversation and realizes that Felix and Zee are behind everything. She confronts them in the kitchen and fights them with various kitchen utensils. She kills Zee with a knife and Felix with a blender blade.

She then faces the fox-masked killer, who is revealed to be Felix's friend Craig. He begs for mercy and offers to split the money with her, but she refuses and impales him with a log from the fireplace.

Erin collapses from exhaustion and blood loss. She hears a police siren and sees a patrol car outside. She tries to warn the officer not to enter the house, but he triggers the wire trap that kills Aimee and is killed by the same trap. The noise causes Erin to scream in pain and frustration as the screen cuts to black.
